Would I make this for dinner every night? No. I wanted to perfect this because it’s a southern classic, an heirloom recipe if you will. And a show-stealing move-the-heck over green bean casserole Thanksgiving side. It’s sophisticated without being fancy, classic without any processed ingredients.
